Lateral Operations only adds people to the newsletter when they knowingly request it. Role Blueprint submissions, cold outbound, and newsletter subscriptions remain separate systems.
What is collected
The newsletter form collects an email address, optional first name, and consent to receive the Lateral Operations newsletter. Basic technical details may be processed by the website host and newsletter provider to submit the form, prevent spam, and deliver email.
Why it is collected
The information is used to send requested newsletter updates about international hiring, remote operations, customer success, sales and support roles, founder operations, and related Lateral Operations notes.
Email provider
The newsletter endpoint is configured to use Mailchimp through server-side environment variables. Mailchimp processes subscriber information for list management, unsubscribe handling, suppression of bounced addresses, campaign sending, consent management, and basic analytics.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email sent through the newsletter provider must include a visible unsubscribe mechanism. Subscribers can also request removal by emailing alberto@lateraloperations.com.
Deletion requests
To request deletion of newsletter subscriber data, email alberto@lateraloperations.com. Lateral Operations will use the newsletter provider's tools to remove or suppress the subscriber record where required.
Separate from outbound
The Lateral Operations prospect tracker is not imported into the newsletter. Cold-outreach leads are not automatically subscribed. The newsletter is for subscribers, clients, partners, and people who knowingly request the content.
Role Blueprint submissions
The Role Blueprint tool collects the submitted role information, first name, business email, company name, optional company website, optional phone number, consent timestamp, lead source, UTM fields when present, diagnostic outputs, and the completed Role Blueprint report.
Why Role Blueprint data is collected
The information is used to generate and deliver the requested Role Blueprint, store the submission in a dedicated Role Blueprint lead sheet, and help Lateral Operations follow up by email about that specific hiring need. Lateral Operations may call only when the user voluntarily provides a phone number.
Role Blueprint delivery and deletion
The Role Blueprint may be delivered by email through the configured server-side integration. Users can request deletion of Role Blueprint lead data by emailing alberto@lateraloperations.com.
Separate from newsletter subscribers
Submitting a Role Blueprint does not automatically subscribe someone to the Lateral Operations newsletter. A newsletter subscription requires a separate, explicit opt-in through the newsletter form or optional newsletter checkbox. Role Blueprint leads are kept in a dedicated lead sheet and are not automatically connected to prospect trackers, call trackers, HubSpot, Mailchimp, newsletter subscribers, or Gmail contacts.
